Lauren Saunders has been selected to be a part of the new Fruit Factory Network, a regional initiative to support the professional development of emerging visual artists.
“The Fruit Factory Network (FFN) is an initiative delivered by Humber Street Gallery in partnership with Hull College, Back to Ours and IVE that promotes and supports visual artists based in Hull and East Riding. This professional development course aims to export 20 early-career artists to four cities across the UK from April 2019 – March 2020.
Each off-site activity will be followed by a gathering at the gallery to discuss and review outcomes in ‘Advice Surgeries’ lead by the Humber Street Gallery team and industry experts. A culminating symposium will be held in April 2020 with selected speakers from the network.
By equipping participants with an awareness of what has been achieved elsewhere and integrating them into a national creative network, this programme seeks to build their aspirations and raise the benchmark for visual art in Hull.” – Humber Street Gallery
