This project built a foundation of kindness, care and compassion in young refugee and asylum seeker children aged 6-12 to empower positive change in the context of the climate crisis. Through a series of workshops, were encouraged to design and make a space for the ‘Unseen Beings’ that live in the area and help to negotiate flood risk, resulting in an outdoor art installation called ‘Where the Beings Are‘.
Project funded by Rights Community Action, commissioned by Hull Friends of the Earth, with site partners at Yorkshire Wildlife Trust and community partners the National Initiative for Creative Education.
More information about the installation can be explored HERE, and the film by Storyboard Media about the project can be viewed HERE.
