Our Big Picture, in Grimsby, invited me to work alongside the local Ukrainian refugee community to create an exhibition that both celebrates and shares Ukrainian culture with other local communities.
Together, we developed a plan on how translate Ukrainian culture by artistically interpreting and creating a traditional Ukrainian ‘front room’ for installation in the Our Big Picture exhibition space. Over a series of months, I facilitated a number of making workshops for adults and children that included various printing, crafting, painting, sculpting and textile techniques.
