Feral Art School’s ReWilding Practice artists, of which I’m one of them, presented UNFOLD, a pop-up open studio showcasing in-progress work on themes of environment, paper and/or place.
Expanding on my eco-artistic research and growing interest in performance, I’ve been exploring various paper-based processes and techniques to test the possibilities and limitations of this accessible yet biodegradable material. In this exhibition I presented my Wild Dialogues concept, an interactive and site-specific installation at Pickering Road Community Orchard.
Developed in partnership with paper manufacturer G F Smith, Rewilding Practice is a year-long, part-time pilot programme that encourages artists to observe and research paper production processes, particularly those aimed at reducing environmental impact.
